1975 Sears Christmas Catalog
When I was 9, there were few things more exciting than the arrival of the Sears Christmas catalog. I bought my microscope and my chemistry set out of that catalog. I wanted to get the electronics set but never did.

OMG – I totally remember both of those! I didn’t know you bought them yourself though…paper route money I assume? I can’t believe how cheap they were. Can you still get a microscope out of a catalog for $34.95? lol!

Yeah, the chemistry set cost more and got used way less.

Michael has an electronics set (used very little) that he might sell to you…

In retrospect, the electronics set would have been more useful for my career. However, I’m pretty sure it won’t help me much now.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I had a second microscope that I bought at a garage sale at Lenth’s.
