As in last year, I’ve created a group for anyone who wants to join us in predicting the winners of the 2009 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Participation requires a free membership at ESPN.com. Brackets must be completed by Wednesday, March 16, 2009. Even if you know nothing about college basketball, it’s still fun to see how well you do as the tournament progresses. It’s even more fun when you beat the pants off of Thomas!

In our NCAA tournament pool, neither Graham nor I had a team make it out of the Final Four. Thomas had one finalist (Memphis) and even picked them to win. However, they did not win. The ultimate winner of ESPN’s pool scored 1560.
Thomas: 1130
Mick: 800
Graham: 680

Thomas picked a good year to pick four #1 seeds and has pulled way ahead of Graham and I in our NCAA tournament pool. It seems unlikely that we’ll catch him now:

I’m not a baseball fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I am a sports fan and an advocate of fair play. That is why I have strong feelings about the Barry Bonds saga. Now the man who owns the record-breaking ball has put it up to a vote. I voted to brand it:
