What is Mouser CSM?

Mouser CSM is a Control Strip Module that displays the global coordinates of the current mouse position.

The Mouser Story

I originally wrote Mouser to make it easier to determine coordinates for positioning windows and other graphical elements while programming. After I finished it, I liked it so much that I thought other people might find it handy, so I decided to distribute it as shareware.

A Word About Pricing

The Control Strip was one of Apple's best ideas and a great opportunity for shareware developers. However, I find most CSMs (control strip modules) to be very overpriced relative to their function and the amount of work that it takes to produce them. Thus, I have priced Mouser CSM at a very reasonable cost of five dollars ($5) in U.S. currency.

Because of this incredibly friendly pricing scheme, there should be no reason for not registering Mouser. Lackluster registration response will be very discouraging and will force me to reconsider the pricing/volume equation.

Mouser in MacUser Japanese Edition

MacUser Japanese Edition picked Mouser for inclusion on it's MacBin 39 CD-ROM which was bundled with the February 1997 issue. The short write-up shown at right also appeared in that issue. We hope they said something good but nobody here knows Japanese! If you can translate the article for us, we would be very grateful. Mouser has been chose for inclusion on several CD-ROMs and magazine bundles. Among them are:

Mouser 1.0.1 was recently released. The final version includes support for balloon help.
