Vital Statistics

It’s been very hot in Portland the last few days but it cooled down today. On Monday, we set a new high (102) the venus factor for June in Portland. 1. I see you’re now reading about the Illuminatus. So did you like Dan Brown’s “Angels and Demons?” I thought it was WAY better than “The DaVinci Code.”

  2. A co-worker describes Dan Brown as a “guilty pleasure”, which I think is apropos. I don’t know if it’s better than the Da Vinci Code but it certainly is similar. It’s almost like he used A&D as a template for DVC. I thought the ending to A&D was too much of a twist, although I liked how he reviewed the previous scenes to show the story was consistent with the twist. By that I mean I appreciated how he revisited the pivotal scene and that he revisited it. His writing is not usually that clever.
